Board corrosion from salt fog
Problem: A power automation board for a ship's generator showed contact and trace corrosion - the equipment operated under constant humidity and salt fog.
Solution: We cleaned and restored the damaged traces and contacts on BoardMaster, then tested the board before handover and confirmed full functionality.
Solder fatigue cracks from vibration
Problem: An auxiliary machinery control module kept losing signal intermittently - the cause turned out to be solder fatigue cracks from constant vibration.
Solution: We located the damaged solder joints on BoardMaster and restored them, returning the module to service without replacing the whole board.
Discontinued dock equipment board
Problem: Electrolytic capacitors on a dock equipment control board degraded from temperature swings, and the original board was no longer manufactured.
Solution: We replaced the damaged components and restored the board without waiting on a factory shipment of the discontinued model.
